Angie was born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey and she came to the US in 1999 to go to graduate school. After getting her Masters degree, Angie accepted a job opportunity in the UK and lived there for almost two years. Prior to graduate school, Angie has worked for local and international corporations in Turkey.
Angie moved back to the US in 2004 when her position in the UK was eliminated. She’s been living in West New York, NJ with her husband and 7-year-old daughter since 2008. Angie became a US citizen two years ago. She feels very grateful to be waking up to a beautiful view of NYC every morning.
Nowadays, Angie feels like she has a balanced life because of her improved health and happiness. But, it hasn’t always been that way. Being a co-author in this anthology has brought back so many memories from her teenage years. Angie feels responsible for sharing her experiences with youth and their families so teenagers can grow into healthy, happy, and balanced individuals.
Having become a mom for the last seven years, Angie learned the challenges faced by families in raising a healthy, happy, and balanced child. If you’d like to help your teenagers towards a balanced life, you can read about Angie’s journey on her website (link provided below) and in the first book that she co-authored, Balance for Busy Moms.
