While providing emotional support and guidance to parents to teach them to positively advocate for their families, BrieAnna realized her dream of becoming a licensed counselor and enrolled in graduate school.
After graduating from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2010 with a M.A. in Counseling, BrieAnna completed her certification as a Nationally Certified Counselor. She worked as a children’s and teen outreach counselor for a local crisis center as well as a crisis call counselor before returning to her home state. Currently, she is a Michigan Limited Licensed Professional Counselor working towards full licensure and she is also a certified Infant Mental Health Specialist (II) in the state of Michigan.
BrieAnna’s own struggle with emotions as a young person helped shape who she is today. She enjoys dancing, writing, reading, painting, gardening, game nights and being outdoors as her own healthy outlets. Her career passion remains in helping young people realize their potential and teaching them to identify and make safe and healthy life choices in their life journey.
